I know, I know. Sorry I’ve been absent from posting. I’m back now, and just so you know, I have been sketching, I just took a vacation from posting!
To catch up, here’s a sketch of an adorable statue outside a creperie in Lake Geneva, WI. Doesn’t he make you smile?
My daughter and son-in-law are expecting – a baby girl! Here is a sketch done for the shower invite.
(Note: Sorry for the grey background on my recent images. Blogger seems to be doing this,
even when I change it to a white background. 🙁 )
A dear friend recently gave me a gift of blueberries (frozen) that she and her daughter picked last summer.
They are a delicious topping on my oatmeal!!
…all track of time! These were another purchase from the Farmer’s Market yesterday. I got after eating the dragon fruit (another post on that), I knew I wanted these for dinner, but also wanted to sketch them. So, when I was finally done sketching, it was 9 pm! A late dinner, but surely worth the wait.
I looked up from my seat, and saw this man with binoculars
looking in my direction. What bothered me, was the fact that
we were in a small bar. Pretty sure he didn’t need them
to see across the room!
This is a recent commissioned work, done for a Yamaha owner.
It was a lot of fun to try this, and decide how much detail to leave in.
Brought a friend to her followup dr visit. She had some nasty vertigo when we arrived at the hotel, so we ordered in. I sketched my bed while waiting for the food to be delivered in.
The best thing about this hotel (and maybe all Hampton Inns!) is they say the duvet covers are washed each time, like the sheets. I believe it, because all the linens were white, and they did look really clean!
Brigham & Women’s Hospital cafeteria is equal to a gourmet restaurant! I had pumpkin raviolis with mushrooms and artichokes covered with a white butter sauce. Soo good! I ate it so fast, I had time to sketch these folks sitting at the window counter in front of me.
By the way, my friend’s test results were exactly what she hoped for, so excellent news for her!
I do love red shoes!
|The chef got to eat his lunch too! I wonder if he prepared his own food?
I did this as a last minute holiday gift. Art can be really handy for things like that!
