Hi! I love walking, traveling, and creating art. When any of those are combined, it surely puts me in ‘the flow’. I’m left-handed when writing, but ambidextrous with most other things.
I am a lifelong artist, always drawing and sketching. After an overseas trip, I decided to try watercolors. I tried teaching myself with books and videos, and took classes with a local artist. The quality of my art wasn’t too bad, but it wasn’t until I landed on Flickr and found Urban sketchers, journalers and other similar artists that I was able to find my ‘style’.
Letting go of perfectionism and fussing led to a wonderful sense of ‘water’ colors. My art seemed to express the feelings I wanted to share.
Oh, and I also had more fun! More fun led to me getting my scooter, but that’s another story!
Send me an email.
I stumbled across your site through the Lost Dog’s FB page. Somehow I knew it was you even before I ventured over here. Love your work.

Hi Jim!
What a nice surprise to hear from you! It’s funny, but sometimes the harder I try to get a sketch ‘right’, I’m not so happy with the results. Then some just flow out.
You’d be surprised at the quantity I have never posted!
Thanks for stopping in,
Bernadette
Hey Bernie, been following your paint for about a year now, its just awful–just kidding, I like it alot, I think I know you pretty well, and your paintings really reflect your personality-you know,
easy going, your paintings look like it was easy to do, which is a good thing, but knowing you,
I can just see you working very intensly to get it the way you want it to be, I know the feeling.
I tell every one to check your stuff out, and of course I just have to say,I know the “artist”
personaly. really enjoy your stuff. Jim.
